PAA History – Yeah, we've been around, a LONG time! :)

Did you know PAA has been around since the 1960s!?!  A 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose purposes are to provide bicycle racing and activities for its members, promote bicycling as a sport and advance the interests of bicycling through organized races, coaching and training, PAA has a rich history in the southern California bicycle scene.

Founded in Pasadena, CA in 1961, PAA now has over 350 members of all backgrounds, ages and abilities. Current and past PAA members have won state, national, and international championships on the road, track, cyclo-cross, and mountain bike, and include professionals and Olympian Chris Horner!  In the last few years the club has had a national junior XC mountain bike champion (Nathan Hickey) as well as a national masters (75-79) road racing champion (Robert Paganini).
