Ladies, join us for November's Women on Wheels (WoW) ride on November 28 at 8:15 a.m., where we will take you on a loop through Pasadena, South Pasadena, and Sierra Madre seeing some of unique sites along the way. Once we get into Sierra Madre, get your climbing legs ready. We will climb up into Santa Anita Canyon and then stop in downtown Sierra Madre for coffee & a sweet treat - The Syndicate or Bean Town (let's support local) - we'll meet in the middle at Kersting Court!

We will ride all together as one group to see all the sites, average speed about 13 mph, after the coffee stop in Sierra Madre, we'll break into groups (Less Fast - Group B and Fast - Group A) and head back to the Rose Bowl via Sierra Madre Blvd, Paloma Street and Mountain Street. Sign up for the group you want to ride back to the Rose Bowl with.

The route will see some fun sites:
1. Millard House (also know as "La Miniatura") was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright House in 1923 and is one of five concrete block homes he designed in Southern California (please don't bother the tenants)

2. The Gamble Housewas designed in 1908 by Pasadena architects Greene and Greene (also the site of Back to the Future I and III)

3. The original Wrigley Mansion (now the Rose Bowl Headquarters)

4. Father of the Bride House (please don't bother the tenants)

5. Mater Dolorosa Passion Retreat (this is out and back, punchy climb)

6. Bailey Canyon Nature Trail

7. Lizzie's Trail Inn and The Richardson House / Mt. Wilson Trail

8. Mary's Market If you'd rather not climb the section above Mary's Market, you can stop there and wait for the rest of the group. Mary's Market is at 561 Woodland Drive.

The route starts and ends at the Aquatics Center at the Rose Bowl https://www.strava.com/routes/2871625998882024078 is 24.5 miles with 1,429 ft. Thank you to Nina Waters for the route. Please upload the route to your cycling computer.
