Our attempt at this ride a couple of weeks ago was rained out, this one looks waterproof! We’ll return to the Turnbull-Puente Loop, which has a mighty fine coffee stop at 85 C Bakery. We’ll start from Memorial Park in Sierra Madre, get an assist from a portion of the Emerald Necklace bike path before looping through Whittier and Turnbull Canyon. The loop includes some hilly and scenic areas in Hacienda Heights, Rowland Heights, and La Habra Heights.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

The Weekend Endurance (WE) Rides no longer use ride leaders for each pace group. Instead, a ride organizer will launch each ride with route tips and be available to answer any questions. We’ll continue to have different pace groups, but each will be self-directed. This format is very similar to our highly successful Club Supported Rides (but without the SAG support).

Please keep the following in mind when joining the WE Rides:

·       Download the route prior to arrival.

·       Be self-sufficient, prepared to handle flats and minor bike repairs.

·       Carry a cell phone in case of emergency or to get that Uber ride needed every once in a while.

This is an informal self-supported ride and not an official PAA sponsored ride. Neither PAA, the ride leaders, nor the route creators should be held responsible for any accident or injury that may occur during the ride. Please ride safely.
