About this event

Join us for October's Club Supported Ride (CSR): Cloudburst on Saturday, October 12 for a fun and challenging day in the Angeles National Forest! We'll climb up from Descanso Gardens, past Clear Creek, stop at Red Box for water, and finally make our way to Cloudburst summit. The views are epic. You won't want to miss this one!

Feel free to ride as much or as little as you like. You can turnaround any time along the route and head back. Lunch will be served at Red Box on the descent. Please note the times of the SAG stops and lunch below.

SAG LOCATIONS & TIMES
SAG 1: Clear Creek (Ascent) at ~11 miles; SAG volunteer will be there between 8:45 a.m. - 9:45 a.m.
SAG 2: Cloudburst Summit at ~33 miles; SAG volunteer will be there between 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Lunch: Red Box (Descent) ~17 miles from Cloudburst to Red Box; Lunch will be served from 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

THINGS TO REMEMBER:

  • All riders should be prepared to do minor repairs on the road (e.g., change a flat)

  • Due to the challenging nature of most club supported rides, groups will invariably form and split up en route depending on riders levels of fitness, training goals, etc.

  • For your safety, a helmet is mandatory on PAA rides.

  • Check the forum and event page before the ride, in case of inclement weather which may result in a change of the route or cancellation of the event.

  • Guests are welcome, but must also RSVP (guest ticket), sign a ride waiver and pay $20 to help pay for lunch and SAG supplies.
