About this event

WE-Ride for Sunday, September 22: Turnbull Canyon from Sierra Madre, 8:00 AM

Time to celebrate the return of lovely fall weather with our classic Turnbull Canyon route (with modifications due to construction on the Rio Hondo River trail).

The ride starts at Sierra Madre’s Memorial Park, heading over to Duarte to join the SGRT just below Santa Fe Dam. After passing Whittier Narrows, we head east into Whittier and up Turnbull Canyon, descending in Hacienda Heights and to our coffee stop at 85° C Bakery. From there, the route climbs back up to the ridge, then winds along the lovely hillsides of La Habra Heights on East Drive and West Drive to return us to Whittier. Because of construction on the Rio Hondo trail, we return via the SGRT and Longden, just this time.
