Rain is a near certainty Sunday morning so we are moving the WE Ride to Saturday morning. Updated ride leaders below, should be a great time to climb up to Cogswell!
Saturday's ride will head from Sierra Madre through scenic foothill neighborhoods. We’ll then climb Hwy 39 to a road (closed to cars) that meanders along the West Fork of the San Gabriel river to the Cogswell Dam. This road was recently reopened after fire damage along the watershed and is in good condition for cycling. A couple notes of caution: (1) Please check the ridewithgps route, a caution note is pinned there for the left turn at the end of our climb up Hwy 39; (2) once on the road along the West Fork there is some minor road debris (small rocks and large construction plates).
