WE-ride, Sunday, March 10, 9 AM Daylight Savings Time - Trying again! - Claremont via San Dimas Canyon

Since this ride was cancelled for (not much) rain last week, let’s try again. We hope that the intrepid riders who pioneered it amidst the showers can come again to show us the way.

Please not the TIME CHANGE: Daylight Savings begins on Sunday, March 10… and we are changing the start time to 9 AM PDT.

This route from Sierra Madre to Claremont winds along the foothills eastward, climbs up scenic San Dimas Canyon, then drops into Claremont for coffee before returning to Sierra Madre.

We have scheduled a coffee and food stop at Village Plaza, Claremont. Claremont Colleges spring break starts Friday, so it may be a bit quieter in Claremont than usual.

Start Time: 9:00 AM Daylight Savings Time at Sierra Madre Memorial Park

Route for Downloadhttps://ridewithgps.com/routes/45687329

Distance: ~60 miles

Elevation gain: ~3100 ft

Please keep the following in mind when joining the WE Rides:

• Download the route prior to arrival.

• Be self-sufficient, prepared to handle flats and minor bike repairs.

• Carry a cell phone in case of emergency or to get that Uber ride needed every once in a while.

This is an informal self-supported ride and not an official PAA sponsored ride. Neither PAA, the ride leaders, nor the route creators should be held responsible for any accident or injury that may occur during the ride. Please ride safely.
