About this event

We will try the "Two Dams" route again since it rained out last time....

Route:
https://ridewithgps.com/routes/44339463

Starting at Descanso Garden, we will head to the Big Tujunga Dam Overlook via the La Crescenta Highlands and the recently re-paved Lower Big Tujunga Canyon Rd. Those who want extra credit can continue the climb for a couple more miles to the intersection with the Angeles Forest Hwy. The rest of us will take in the view at the Overlook and descend (mostly) back to Sunland through the smooth pavement, where we will stop at the Backdoor Bakery for some refreshment. After the break, we will ride west to Hansen Dam before heading back to the starting point, skirting Foothill Blvd as we go, where you may encounter a peacock or two as we pedal through McGroarty Park.

If you are short on time, you can easily skip the Hansen Dam loop.

Meeting time: 7:30 am (Rolling soon after a brief ride announcement)
Ride Organizer: Chi Ao
Meet up: Descanso Garden (intersection of Descanso Dr. and Fairlawn Dr.)

Depending on the number of riders, we will likely split into different pace groups as we have in the past.

Please know the route (or better yet download it into your bike computers) in case you are separated from your group.

NOTE: This is an informal self-supported ride and not an official PAA sponsored ride. Neither PAA, the ride organizers/leaders, nor the route creators should be held responsible for any accident or injury that may occur during the ride. For the safety of your own and others around you, please ride within your limits, be aware of your surroundings, and call out road hazards.
