Join us for September’s women’s-only WoW monthly ride on Sunday, September 25! We are changing things up this month with a fun Scavenger Hunt around Pasadena! Get your thinking caps on and get your legs ready!

Please read carefully:

  • The object of this ride is to work together as a team to find all the clues in the designated time frame with all your team members. We will be pairing you together with faster and less fast riders, so it’s imperative that you stay together. This ride has no leaders or sweeps, your group will help each other during the ride.

  • Make sure to follow your designated route, as the route will take you by each of the clues. Miss a turn and you may miss a clue!

  • Please register by Friday, September 23 at 1 p.m. We will close registration at this time.

  • You will receive a list of clues to find and route slips on the morning of the ride. We are going ole style with no technology for this ride!

Rules to win:

  • Each team must start and finish together.

  • On the morning of the ride, each team will designate ONE personal phone with camera within each group to take photos (selfies) at each of the found clues.

  • Each member of your team must be in the selfie photo with the clue.

  • All clues are outside.

  • The ride starts at 8 a.m. and you must be back in the parking lot with your entire team at the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center by 1 p.m.

  • The team with the most correct found items, with all team members in the selfies and team members at the finish, wins a sweet prize (each team member will win a prize)!

  • HAVE FUN!!

ROUTE LENGTH, ELEVATION AND STRAVA LINK:

We will have two routes that start and end at the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center and each are approximately 24 miles with 1,520 ft of elevation. Each route will take you to the same set of clues, just in an opposite direction.
Thank you to Nina Waters for organizing and planning the scavenger hunt.

PRE-RIDE MEETING:

We will be having a quick pre-ride meeting at 7:45 a.m. at the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center. We will discuss the rules of the road, hand signals and you'll get your clues. In order to get the clues and route slips, you must attend this meeting.

GROUPS:

We will be splitting each of you into your groups prior to the ride. You will be paired with fast and less fast riders. Leave no one behind or you won’t win. Sign up like you usually do, (Fast) 15-16 mph average and (Less fast) 12-13 mph.

POST RIDE:

We will have treats and refreshments at the end of the ride, make sure to stick around and see who wins!

Things to remember…

- Women's Only Ride

- You must RSVP for the ride

- Wear your PAA kit (not required)

**Please remember: ride leaders, sweeps, and all our women who help are all volunteers who have spent time and energy creating and pre-riding each specific route to ensure safety and fun for the whole group. Our average speeds are determined prior to each ride to make sure each group stays together -- this isn't a race, it's a social ride.  We ask you to be mindful of the whole group and respect the leader's decision on the predetermined route and speed.
