We’ve neglected Mt. Wilson on these rides so let’s go climb it. This route ascends via the recently repaved Big Tujunga road. We can grab water at the Clear Creek fire station and keep going up to the top of Mt. Wilson for some great views. The route descends from there back to La Canada along Highway 2, with a stop at Constellation Coffee near the starting location.

 

If short on time or desire to keep climbing, feel free to catch Highway 2 at Clear Creek station and descend from there (shaving off about 20 miles and 2,500 ft. of climbing).
