Registration Info

Registration is required
Payment In Full In Advance Only
This is not a beginner gravel ride. All riders are responsible for riding the route within their skill level and navigation. All should be competent to ride typical trails found in the LA area. All riders should ensure their bikes are in good working order and be capable of fixing flats and making trail repairs as may be required. The route is not marked, each group will have a ride leader to facilitate the route finding for the group only, they are not responsible for your route finding or fixing you or your bike in the event of an issue. Regroups will cater to the majority of the group, if you have an issue or can't keep the pace of the group then you should anticipate that the group will not wait unduly for you.

About this event

This Club Supported Dirt Ride (CSDR) will be a gravel bike focused ride.

We will meet at Sunland Recreation Center Park and ride Foothill for 3.5miles before turning north towards Kagel Canyon, finding dirt under our wheels around the 6mile mark.  From here it is all dirt,  and nearly all up until we reach Little Tujunga Canyon Rd, rejoining the pavement at Dillon Divide.  We will then continue to climb to Bear Divide and then onwards (and upwards) to Camp 9.

The fruits of our climbing efforts will be rewarded with magnificent views, very little traffic and our SAG station.  Continuing straight on through Camp 9 we will rejoin dirt for the long and glorious truck trail descent of May Canyon.  Watch out for hikers, especially lower down on this trail.

Regaining the valley we will skirt through two parks before regaining Foothill, then a brief diversion through the Hansen Dam Recreation Area and the Hansen Dam Bike Path before returning back to the finish and lunch.

We have two start times, please roll with the one that most suits your level:

8:00am Group - Aimed for less experienced gravel riders: you will be more cautious at descending and tackling trail obstacles.

8:30am Group - Aimed at more experienced gravel riders: you will feel more comfortable at descending and tackling trail obstacles.

You do not need to notify the organizers of which group you want to roll with, just turn up to roll with your preferred group.
