WE-ride, Sunday, April 21 - Beach Loop from Peck Park

LONG BEACH GRAN PRIX - Alternate Route to avoid central Long Beach: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/46309248

The adjusted route turns off the beach on Junipero Avenue before the center of Long Beach, and takes 3rd Street (which has a dedicated bike lane on a one-way street) and Daisy Street (which is a designated bike route) to avoid the central beach area and get you on to the LA River Bikeway.

But you'll miss the Queen Mary!

----

Finally a weekend without rain on the forecast! It’s supposed to be lovely, warm and mild. It’s finally time to do our classic Beach Loop from Peck Park.

The route heads east from Peck Water Conservation Park (with restroom and water fountain) to the San Gabriel River Trail, then heads south along the river all the way to Seal Beach. Traversing along the coast to Long Beach, the ride returns via the LA River and the Rio Hondo bike paths. There’s a coffee stop in Seal Beach at Crema Cafe, and photo-opportunities in Long Beach Harbor with views of Queen Mary (now refurbished and open for overnight stays).

Start Time: 9:00 AM at Peck Water Conservation Park in Arcadia: (https://maps.app.goo.gl/vZAPvgHSrrNBh2jz7?g_st=ic)

Distance: ~67 miles
