About this event

WE-Ride for Saturday, November 30: Little T. Starting time 8 AM at Descanso Gardens.

Let's try again! To help riders plan for the long holiday weekend, this is an early announcement that we have rescheduled the Little Tujunga Canyon ride to Saturday, November 30. Little T is a lovely, rustic valley with much less traffic than Big T, with plenty of climbing!

We depart from Descanso Gardens at 8 AM, climbing up through La Crescenta and descending past Sunland to the base of Little Tujunga Canyon in San Fernando. From there, it’s an in-and-out along Little T Road. The first climb to Dillon Divide is about 1600 feet. The route then drops a good bit before the 1700 foot climb up Little T Road and Santa Clara Truck Trail to the end at Camp 9 (which has water).

For a shorter ride, turn around at Dillon Divide or Bear Divide along the way.

The return drops down Little T. After a lunch break option at our favorite Backdoor Cafe & Bakery, the route hugs the hills south of Foothill on the way back to Descanso Gardens.

Start: 8:00 AM in front of Descanso Gardens in La Cañada-Flintridge. (https://maps.app.goo.gl/MCVp4P6vEWcKE8kD7 )

Weather Forecast: The long-range forecast for Saturday's weather is expected to be cool and partly cloudy, getting sunnier as the day goes on. Much can change, and we will be monitoring the forecast and update as needed.

• Download the route prior to arrival.

• Be self-sufficient, prepared to handle flats and minor bike repairs.

• Carry a cell phone in case of emergency or to get that Uber ride needed every once in a while. (Be aware, however, that cell phone reception on many WE-ride routes in the San Gabriel Mountains is very limited).

This is an informal self-supported ride and not an official PAA sponsored ride. Neither PAA, the ride leaders, nor the route creators should be held responsible for any accident or injury that may occur during the ride. Please ride safely.
